July 26th, 2008 — Daytime Plans for Out-of-Town Guests

We have reserved the Rose Garden in Golden Gate Park during the afternoon for a picnic for our out-of-town visitors. It will be casual and will go from noon until 3pm. We will provide food and drinks and some picnic blankets. Remember that San Francisco can be a little chillier than you normally imagine summer in California — so you might want to bring layers and a jacket just in case.

Please RSVP to rsvp@mckellar.org or to Sharon at +1-415-867-0124 or Ian at +1-415-867-9255.

If you're interested in spending some more time in the park (it's beautiful), you should take a look at this map or ask us during the picnic. The De Young Museum is right near by. It's an amazing building and has an observation tower with amazing views. Their exhibition right now is Jane Hammond's Paper Work. The Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest of its kind in the United States and is also walking distance from the Rose Garden.
